Plot summary (***warning—SPOILER ALERT!***)
In Episode 1, nine-year-old Finnegan Mars encounters a group of green-eyed laser-firing robots in the woods behind the orphanage, but nobody believes him—no one except his friend Ellie Credo. Without knowing it, Finnegan becomes a pawn in the cyber ghouls' plans to uncover a deep secret and invade Earth, while Ellie herself is captured and ends up the object of a devious experiment.
In Episode 2, Ellie is kidnapped by Drago Rex and taken to the cyber ghouls' great spaceship, the Vandal. Finnegan and Mr. Myrtle attempt to rescue her, but their plans go amiss! Mr. Myrtle is captured and interrogated by the mighty Kaiser Goth—Lord of the Ghouls—while Finnegan flees through the Vandal as it speeds toward Arkana, the haunted planet of the ghouls.
In Episode 3, Finnegan desperately tries to find Ellie and Mr. Myrtle on Arkana, the planet of the ghouls. He gets help from Rumgum and his parents—a family of highly intelligent lizard bots. But Finnegan needs to act quickly, especially when he realizes that Ellie is going to be cast into the infamous Ghoul Pit!
In Episode 4, Finnegan and Rumgum escape from the cyber ghouls and end up on the asteroid Gothyss, home of a warrior race known as the goth bots. Meanwhile, Ellie meets a strange old gully rat, who devises a daring plan that allows her to sneak into the Fortress of the Ghouls. There, she finds Mr. Myrtle and learns of a clue that might help defeat the ghouls!
In Episode 5, Finnegan narrowly escapes destruction in the deadly arena of Gothyss, while Kaiser Goth soon conquers the asteroid and then leads his terrifying army to Earth. Finnegan and Rumgum have a mysterious clue that might stop him, and try to find their way into the Myrtle Mansion while the ghouls are attacking it—only to encounter Ellie herself, who is now a ghoul! A great victory is ultimately won and Finnegan discovers the truth about his past, involving a surprising reunion and unexpected happiness.
